We are currently renovating an old house in the “centro storico” (historic centre) of Refrancore, a small village 1Km from our B&B, and 12m K from Asti. The house is very old, and has 4 floors, starting with the underground cantina, which has lovely old domed ceilings, and brick walls. The ground floor is a open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning fire. The first floor has a large double bedroom with a private bathroom. There is also a corridor leading to the next floor, which also has a large double bedroom and private bathroom. Perfect for 2 couples.
Although it is not finished, we expect it to be fully up and running by the end of April 2008. It will be fully furnished, with all kitchen appliances, sheets, towels etc, all you will need to bring is your clothes and personal effects. There is private parking in the courtyard at the rear of the house.
The price is €600 per week for 2 people and €700 per week for 4, plus gas in the winter months.
Daily price is €100 per night for 2 or €120 for 4, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.
The house is right in the heart of Refrancore. Refrancore is small, about 1200 people, but is what I call a”live” village, it is not like many of the nearly deserted villages in the area. It has 2 bars, a chemist shop, greengrocer, paper shop, bank, 2 hairdressers, hardware store, supermarket, butcher, delicatessen, pastry shop, and a few others. It also has 3 restaurants in the village, and many others in the area.
